Dr. Ashok Patel is a board-certified psychiatrist who has been serving the Pinellas County community since 1994. He completed his residency at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, and specializes in treating patients 18 years and older for a wide range of mental health conditions, always delivering the highest quality of care. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Patel is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Nova Southeastern University, where he mentors medical students and psychiatrists-in-training.
Dr. Patel is also deeply involved in medical research, conducting Phase 2 and Phase 3 clinical trials to stay at the forefront of emerging treatments. For 10 years, he served as the Program Director at Largo Medical Center, training future psychiatrists. He has also held leadership roles, including Medical Director and serving on the Quality Assurance and Medical Executive Committees at local hospitals. Beyond his professional duties, Dr. Patel actively volunteers with local social organizations, always striving to provide exceptional care to every patient.
